[Gwen spends a lot of time trying not to think.

She keeps her eyes forward, she hopes, she dreams. She refuses to let herself keep one foot in the past because she knows how it could swallow her, has seen it for herself.

But sometimes, there are days. Days like today, when even work and duties and responsibility can't keep her from feeling everything. (Her mother, her father, Morgana, Arthur, the world they live in.)

It's a moment of weakness, a heavy day that makes her do it. She lingers in Arthur's room, ostensibly to straighten up, besides the fact it's hardly her job and definitely not what she should be doing.

It's calming. She needs a moment to be calm.]
